On September 30th, will be America’s prepare-a-thon, a grassroots campaign for action. As of this evening, more than 23 million people have pledged to participate in preparedness activities. FEMA also launched a new series of public service announcements to encourage families to communicate an emergency plan before disaster strikes. According to FEMA, fewer than half of Americans have discussed and developed an emergency plan with their household.
