Get your walking shoes ready, as the first ever evening walking tour hosted by the Torrance Historical Society and Museum takes place Sept. 5. The tour will check out historical sites in Torrance with a stroll under the stars.
Then on Sept. 12, the City is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new electric vehicle charging stations behind the Katy Geissert Civic Center Library. After the ceremony, people will be able to get a closer look at and even drive an electric car. The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m.
And registration is still open for the 2015 LA Triathlon at Torrance Beach. The triathlon course begins and ends on Torrance Beach with a bike and run segments. The race will start at 6:45 a.m. It’s the 16th year running this event.
