The ATTIC, the City’s drop-in center for high school students, is back in session.
The ATTIC is ready for the new school season with an Open House tomorrow from 4 to 6 p.m. The center will open its doors for students and parents who are interested in touring the facility and learning more about the programs offered. Staff will be available to conduct tours and give out free prizes.
In addition to daily structured homework help, the center features weekly activities including movie screenings every Tuesday. There is also a full-service café open daily from 3-5:30 p.m. where students can purchase after-school snacks. Also on the list of upcoming events is a Halloween Party featuring a costume contest scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30.
The center is a drop-in program, available free of charge to all Torrance students ages 14-18. The center is open Monday through Friday from 3-9 p.m. during the school year. For more information on The ATTIC, call (310) 782-8828.
