Firefighters in Torrance and other South Bay cities received a sweet surprise recently.

Baskets full of fresh cookies were meant represent a small show of gratitude in recognition of 9/11. Workers gathered at the city’s Volunteer Center on Cravens Avenue to package cookies that were delivered to all the fire stations in Torrance, as well as stations throughout the South Bay.

The cookies were donated by the Torrance Bakery, Costco and Doubletree by Hilton Torrance. This is the second year this event has taken place.
