Torrance firefighters responded to a fire recently at Torrance Airport.

About 30 firefighters arrived at the airport putting out the fire in just 9 minutes. They received the first dispatch Monday at 11:28 a.m. By 11:32 a.m., the first unit arrived on scene.

In order to put out the fire, firefighters had to cut open two large bay doors to enter the hangar where the fire was located. The hangar sits at the southeast corner of the airport.

No one was injured, and the Western Museum of Flight is up and running as usual.

According to the Torrance Fire Department, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
