A local brewery is one step closer to opening its doors to the public.
Scholb Premium Ales was notified today by the federal government that they officially have the business license to sell and make alcohol. The TTB permit, which is given by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau is part of the United States Department of Treasury.
The Scholb team says they are excited, since they have been waiting for this very important step. Scholb Premium Ales began work on their new location in August. They say they have already ordered kegs and seven fermenters.
Scholb will be one of the newest breweries to join the booming craft beer scene in Torrance. They are located at 2964 Columbia Street.
The next step is to receive permits from the City of Torrance. Scholb hopes to open by January.
