When it comes to deals, this Cyber Monday was one for the books.

Data released by Adobe found that U.S. online orders totaled nearly $3 billion, a 16 percent increase from Cyber Monday last year. Reports show that toys and electronics were the hottest selling items.

Interesting fact, nearly half of the web traffic came from smart phones or tablets, but customers actually placed orders on desktop or laptop computers. About 72 percent of sales came from computers.

Experts say, social media helped boost the sales of Cyber Monday through nearly 1 million mentions on various platforms.

But America’s biggest online sales day still doesn’t compare to China’s biggest Cyber Sales day on Nov. 11 that brought in more than $14 billion dollars
