One local car company had a successful Black Friday weekend.

Toyota announced that sales increased by 3 percent in November. Toyota officials say the company had the best Black Friday weekend in eight years, thanks to  records sales of its RAV 4 and light trucks.

RAV 4 sales jumped 30 percent. Camry sales increased by 7 percent, and the Tacoma sales were up by 4 percent.

The company’s luxury brand, Lexus also saw a jump in sales by 7 percent.

A vice president at TrueCar says many car companies are making more profit per vehicle than they used to because they are selling more SUVs and trucks.

The average sale price of a vehicle last month was nearly $33,000, up 1 percent from the previous month.
