Local high school students are close to being able to use their gym again.
By the end of the week Torrance High School plans to have painted lines and the Tartar mascot emblazoned in the center of the gym.
The long-term project began in March thanks to a bond measure that made it possible for the gym to get a face lift. The last time the gym floor was renovated was in the mid-1980’s.
In October, the school sold pieces of its old gym floor to raise money for the school.
They hope to unveil the final renovation during the first week in January.
