This is the last week to donate to the holiday can tree. On Thursday, Salvation Army plans to make a final pick-up just in time for Christmas delivery. You can stop by this week at the West Annex of City Hall at 3031 Torrance Blvd. to donate any non-perishable foods. If you do want to donate anything perishable, the city is asking for you to bring it right before pick-up.

Del Amo Fashion Center will have a unique holiday expericen: a human-sized snow globe experience in the Outdoor Village from Dec. 11 to 13 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will also be a festival holiday photo booth on Saturday with props.

And if you’re feeling hungry this weekend, you can give back while enjoying a burger. North High School cheerleaders are hosting a fundraiser Saturday at the local burger joint The Counter from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Twenty percent of your bill will be donated to the cheerleading squad. The Counter is located at 21209 Hawthorne Blvd. in Torrance.
