Now that Christmas is over, if you’re wondering what to do with your Christmas tree, the City of Torrance has you covered.

From today through Jan. 19, you can leave your unflocked trees for collection as part of your regular curbside trash pick up. The City is asking residents to remove all tinsel, ornaments and stands before leaving trees outside. Also trees longer than 6 feet need to be cut before pick up.

The large item collection program will not be available during the curbside Christmas tree recycling programs.

The City will use the trees for mulch and landfill cover.

For more information, you call Torrance Public Works at (310) 781-6900 or read more about the program at TorranceCA.Gov/9208.htm.
