The City Council will discuss funding tonight for a new display at Zamperini Field.
The Airport Commission is asking the City Council to approve the Collings Foundation’s display of a B-24 Liberator, B-17 Bomber, B-25 Mitchell and P-51 Mustang at Zamperini Field from April 22-26. It would be a special display that would cost $3,550.
The three-day display would be in front of the General Aviation Center and it would also offer 33 flights in specific planes. Flights would range from $450 dollars to nearly $3,200 depending the route.
The Collings Foundation is a non-profit organization designed to preserve aviation history.
