With the Mayor’s announcement of 4th of July fireworks returning to Torrance, City staff is bringing an outreach plan to the table.

Tonight, staff will ask the City Council to approve a public notice for neighbors living around City Hall, as officials say they will feel the greatest impact from a July 4 event. City staff will mail the notice to residents within 1,000 feet of the Civic Center. A web page also has been developed to offer the community general event information and a link to a survey for community feedback. Other information includes details on how to get free tickets to view the fireworks show from the Toyota Sports Complex.

The fireworks will be set off from the Torrance Civic Center.

For nearly 30 years, the City of Torrance had hosted a show, but it was stopped in 2011 because of the cost.
