If you’ve been a victim of theft recently in the South Bay, you may have the chance to retrieve some of your personal belongings.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies are planning to display property recovered from a burglary suspect who was arrested recently.

Scott Blubaugh of Torrance was taken into custody on suspicion of possessing stolen property and vehicle burglary. Detectives soon found other items in his car including a variety of GPS units, cameras, iPods, power tools, wallets and laptop computers that were related to other car burglaries. Also purses, backpacks and dozens of pairs of sunglasses were recovered. About 85 items were found.

Blubaugh is suspected in burglaries in cities throughout the South Bay including Torrance, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes and Palos Verdes Estates.

Next week detectives from the Lomita Sheriff’s Station will display the recovered items for anyone who has had property stolen from their cars recently.  Authorities are asking people to bring a police report, serial numbers or other proof of ownership to claim the property.

The items will be on display Tuesday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lomita Sheriff’s Station at 26123 Narbonne Avenue.
