A South Bay landmark with more than 40 years of history in Torrance this week announced its impending closure.
Cookin’ Stuff located on Sepulveda Boulevard near Crenshaw will close its doors for good on June 30.
The family owned and operated business began catering to customers in 1973 selling cookware and bake ware products. The store started with a limited inventory and grew to feature more than 20,000 items.
Owner Stacy Kaats-Baksh who took over the family business in 1992, expressed not only sadness but gratitude to the Torrance community for the years of memories and friendships they’ve created with their customers.
Until the store closes, all items will be discounted by 15 percent.
Cookin’ Stuff is located at 2722 Sepulveda Boulevard. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also check out their products online at CookinStuff.com.
