Quaker Oats is recalling a popular snack after listeria contamination concerns.

The company has found that one of its suppliers of sunflower kernels issued a recall after finding that some of its seeds may have listeria monocytogenes. While, there have been no reports of illnesses, the recall is a precaution.

Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Chocolate Nut Medley and yogurt, fruit, and nut bars are part of the recall.

Listeria is known as one of the most dangerous food-borne illnesses.

If you have purchased any of these bars, Quaker is asking customers to throw them away or return them for a full refund.  For more information, you can go to the recall information on the Quaker Oats website.
