Sports Authority is launching its out of business sale this week.

Many resources say the retailer is planning to close all of its 463 stores. Sports Authority has stated that it plans to have final sales start now through the end of August.

The store announced bankruptcy less than three months ago, and had initially planned to try to sell or close about a third of its retail sites in order to strengthen operations. However, these efforts failed.

The Torrance location is still not confirming whether they are closing down, and the South Bay Workforce Investment Board reached out to them about whether they need help with transitioning employees who may get laid off.
