Local traffic enforcement will be out in full force this Friday through Saturday morning.

They will conduct DUI and license checkpoints. These stops have resulted in reducing the number of fatalities and people injured in alcohol or drug involved crashes. Officers will be looking for signs of alcohol or impairment while checking for drivers with proper licensing. Funding for this traffic enforcement was granted from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A DUI can result in jail time, fines, and other expenses that can be more than $10,000 dollars.
