After recently releasing an activity wristband with Happy Meals, McDonald’s is recalling them.

There have been reports of these wristbands causing skin irritation and burns. The U.S. Consumer product Safety Commission said today that McDonald’s has received 70 reports of this incident. A total of 29 million units in the United States and 3.6 million in Canada are being recalled.

The recalled activity wristbands found in Happy Meals and Mighty Kids Meals come in two styles including “activity counter” and “light-up band.” They measure steps and blink depending on the consumer’s pace.

A company spokesperson made a public apology today, and recommended that consumers immediately return the fitness trackers to any McDonald’s for a free replacement toy, yogurt tube or bag of apple slices.
