Torrance police are asking for the community’s help in finding two suspects in grand thefts at local sandwich shops.
Torrance CitiCABLE was able to get surveillance video and images of suspects who allegedly stole cash registers from two Subway locations in Torrance this past weekend. The spree started at 9:30 Sunday night.
Two men ordered sandwiches at a Subway on Crenshaw Boulevard, and as their food was being made, they ripped out the cash register and fled the location. Soon after, a similar incident happened at another Subway location on Pacific Coast Highway.
Although no suspect vehicle was seen in either crime, units began checking other Subway locations for the suspects and notified surrounding agencies.
Redondo Beach Police also noticed a car parked outside another Subway later that night, two men were said to have fled from police into a neighboring area.
Surveillance video shows the two suspects before inside the Redondo Beach location before fleeing. Officers found two cash registers inside the suspect vehicles that were later linked to the thefts. Two of the suspects are being described as black males in their 20s wearing gray hoodies; one had a tattoo on his face.
