Continuing the City’s water conservation efforts, free rain barrels are once again being offered to Torrance residents.

You can sign up online now to receive two free rain barrels as part of the program being sponsored by the City and the South Bay Environmental Services Center.

The barrels are key in helping conserve water during the drought. They help in collecting and reusing rainwater, while reducing the amount of water flowing into storm drains and local waterways, ensuring that water is being used efficiently.

You must be a Torrance resident to take part in this giveaway. If you are not able to register, the remainder of the barrels will be given away on a first-come-first serve basis. This takes place Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of West High School.
