A local medical center continued a tradition at the site of its future multi-million dollar state-of-the-art facility that will bring one of a kind services to the South Bay.
Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance held a special blessing ceremony today with Bishop Joseph Sartoris from the auxiliary bishop emeritus of Los Angeles at the site of a new $80 million facility for advanced cancer and orthopedics and other programs.
Providence announced its partnership with the City of Hope, which will provide world-class cancer treatment in the new Providence Advanced Ambulatory Care Center offering key services like an Orthopedic and Spine Institute and Women’s Breast Center. Other amenities include 20 infusion center bays, 46 exam rooms and even surgical suites with 23-hour recovery rooms.
The construction plan shows the project will be built on 106,000 square feet of space with 461 parking spaces. The Center is scheduled to open in 2018.
