The hearing on the expansion of the South Bay Lexus operations is postponed for another two weeks.
A Torrance Airport Association representative met with Mayor Patrick Furey and the City Attorney John Fellows today about the appeal hearing on the expansion of the South Bay Lexus Service Center and the addition of a dealership.
The hearing was scheduled for tonight, but many factors play a role in why the item is being postponed. One councilmember is on bereavement leave, another is not allowed to participate because he was on the Planning Commission at the time, and the City is still waiting for answers from the Fair Political Practices Commission on whether the proximity of one councilmember’s residence to the property could preclude him from participating.
On Nov. 1, the same agenda item was also postponed.
