The United States flags at all City of Torrance facilities are being flown at half-staff today.

The move is in honor of Deputy Dennis Wallace of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department. Wallace, a 20-year veteran of that Department, was killed in the line of duty over the weekend.

All flags at Los Angeles County buildings have also been lowered to remember him. The flags will remain lowered until sunset on the day of funeral services for Wallace. The date has not been announced.
