Patrons were treated to a musical event at the Katy Geissert Library.

Charged Particles, a San Francisco-based jazz trio, made a stop in Torrance during a five-day tour which included stops in Santa Barbara, Carmel, Ventura and Torrance as the southernmost point on the tour.

Band leader Jon Krosnick says one of their goals is to be a part of the performing arts community in cities across the state, and one avenue is through performing at libraries. They hope to take the stage in every library in California as many offer live performances free to the community.

The band has played on large stages as well over the years, this year they celebrate their 25th anniversary. You can follow their journey by liking their Facebook page and Twitter handle, Charged Part.

The concert was sponsored by the Friends of the Torrance Library.
