Tonight Torrance Police will present the latest on the City’s coyote management plan that was implemented last year.
The detailed coyote plan was created to provide guidance to locals on how to deal with the growing coyote population. The Department will provide an update on what the city has done about the coyote issue during tonight’s City Council meeting. The plan focused on management strategy, educating residents and enforcing correct interaction, so coyotes don’t become habituated. This included goals of hazing and what to do reduce conflict between coyotes and humans.
The City Council meeting starts at 7 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend. The meeting also can be seen on Spectrum 3, Frontier FiOS 31, KNET 25.2 over the air or on the City’s website.
