A large project to keep the City’s streets tidy is a little closer to completion.
Public Works crews installed street sweeping signage in the City today as part of the Optimized Weekly Street Sweeping Program. Crews worked at 175th Street and 182nd Street to Crenshaw Boulevard and Western Avenue. They also covered the area of Kingsdale Avenue to Hawthorne Boulevard.
So far more than 1,700 sign have been installed. Today, up to 55 were placed. The City plans to put in nearly 6,000 signs as part of the program, which has already seen signs go up in other parts of Torrance. The goal of the project is to post times and days of the street sweeping routes.
Officials say the project should be completed by June.
