Drivers get ready, traffic delays are expected to continue this week on Crenshaw Boulevard.
Officials say they’re trying to accelerate the work being done on the Crenshaw Rehabilitation Project, and that’s why they are implementing more closures.
Beginning today from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the Crenshaw Boulevard and 235th Street intersection will be limited to a 4-way traffic stop with no left turns in all directions. This also will be the case for the 237th Street intersection.
Some of the other continued traffic impacts include the southbound curb lane of Crenshaw Boulevard from Lomita Boulevard to Skypark Drive, where it will be closed on a 24-hour basis for approximately one week to complete concrete work. Also the northbound curb lane will be closed on a 24-hour basis from 234th Street to 227th Street. Currently, 232nd Street is closed and will remain closed for approximately one week for cross gutter and other work.
Along with this construction, due to median work, drivers will also face traffic closures South of Pacific Coast Highway. One lane northbound and one lane southbound adjacent to the median will be closed until 3:30 pm every day.
Most of these closures will continue through the beginning of March.
