Tomorrow will kick off a month of giving for one well-known organization.

March is considered Red Cross Month, and the organization encourages donors to join in its lifesaving mission by giving blood. Since 1943, every U.S. president has designated March as Red Cross Month to recognize its teams across the country that help people.

Red Cross helps meet the needs of patients at approximately 2,600 hospitals nationwide. Donors of all blood types are needed, especially type “O.”

You can call hospitals in the area to make an appointment, download the Red Cross Blood Donor App for free to schedule your appointment, or find out more on the Red Cross website.
