A bill spear-headed by Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi passes unanimously on the Assembly floor.

AB 368 passed with a 77-0 vote. It’s a measure that will protect young child sexual assault victims from reliving their experiences in court. Also an offender who commits certain sexual crimes with a minor in multiple jurisdictions, may be tried at any one of those locations.

It expands the ages of the victims from just 10 to 14 years old to all children under the age of 14. Sponsored by the District Attorney from Los Angeles County, the bill will expedite the prosecution of offenders.

Muratsuchi serves the 66th Assembly District.
