A Torrance moving company is part of a campaign to help mothers in need.
Two Men and a Truck are accepting donations for the “Movers for Moms” initiative that will benefit mothers at the 1736 Family Crisis Center in Torrance just in time for Mothers’ Day.
The company, along with other businesses, have collection boxes located at Planet Fitness, Dollar Tree, Calle Mayor Middle School and Hollywood Riviera Studios. They are looking for comfort items like robes, shampoo, socks and bath towels, as well as kitchen items.
The crisis center helps women, children, veterans and families transition into stable housing.
Torrance’s Two Men and a Truck are taking part in a national effort to collect 300,000 items with each of the company’s locations participating. Two Men and a Truck plan to pick up and deliver the items around Mother’s Day.
Donations need to be made by May 14 at participating business locations.
