A recent coyote report by the Torrance Police Department shows that sightings are decreasing.
In the past week, there were no coyote sightings reported and no pets killed. This shows that community members are taking steps to keep coyotes away. Officials say it’s still important to take simple steps to protect you and your pets. Make sure your trash is not accessible, keep your pets food indoors, keep yards free from thick brush and weeds and don’t leave trash cans uncovered.
This week, the University of Southern California’s Sol Price School of Public Policy will share research findings with the Torrance Police Department on factors causing increase in coyote activity in Torrance and students will rate the City’s approach to the coyote problem.
