Do you have any medications or prescriptions you want to get rid of?
This Saturday, April 29 you can stop by the Torrance Police Department as part of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day campaign. South Bay and Harbor Area law enforcement agencies will be accepting any expired medications, so they can be disposed of properly. Pills can be discarded free and anonymously from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at police and Sheriff’s Department stations.
The program is designed to prevent misuse of medications sitting in medicine cabinets. It also is a reminder that medications pose a health hazard if flushed down the toilet or thrown in the trash.
Torrance Police Department is located at 3300 Civic Center Drive.
