The City’s big celebrations to honor the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces is just a little more than a week away.

The 58th Annual Armed Forces festivities this year will once again include the popular parade that brought out 60,000 people last year. Annually, the City honors a different military branch and 2017 will  highlight the United States Air Force. Along with the parade, there will be the annual 5k Run/Walk, free concert and military exhibits throughout the weekend.

If you’re planning to head out, plan your trip around street closures.

The parade starts at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, but road closures will start at 7 a.m. to accommodate the 5k race.
