A restaurant known for its ramen gave City Council members and the Torrance Area Chamber a sneak peek of its newest location and a taste of what will be offered.
Shin Sen Gumi, a Japanese restaurant, had its official ribbon cutting ceremony with the chamber today. The new eatery is located in the Torrance Western Shopping Center at the corner of Western Avenue and 182nd Street.
This location will offer food on the go with a drive-thru window, as well as seating inside the restaurant. They plan to serve food from breakfast to dinner, with options including bento boxes, hakata ramen, shabu-shabu and much more.
Shin Sen Gumi is known for ramen with a pork-bone based broth. They will be open for business seven days a week and throughout the year with no holiday closures. This unique customer service came about after the owner couldn’t find a place open for food on New Year’s Day.
Their official opening date is May 30.
