If you love seafood, you may want to stop by a new restaurant in town.

Ocean Market Grill, located at 21209 Hawthorne Boulevard, is serving up fresh seafood in the space that was formerly The Counter. They also have a location in Long Beach, but this is the first in the South Bay.

Regional Director Michael Colwell says Ocean Market Grill offers a more upscale meal in a casual environment. The menu offers plates, wraps, salads and also comfort food options like lobster grilled cheese. Colwell says the wide range of sides and vegetable options set its location apart from other seafood places.

They also have a Taco Tuesday special, with $2 tacos available all day. And a specialty from the menu is their OMG fries, which is their clam chowder served over fries.

And in other restaurant news, Truxton’s American Bistro is tentatively scheduled to open this week. The bistro is taking over the space that used to be Restaurant Christine in Hillside Village.

The owners completely remodeled the interior and the patio. Truxton’s serves American comfort food made from scratch with dishes including sandwiches, burgers and many favorites like rotisserie chicken and their 11 spiced brisket skillet.
