A local hospital will soon be using a new communications system that will improve workflow.

Torrance Memorial Medical Center has partnered with Mobile Heartbeat, a leading provider of healthcare enterprise solutions that improves clinical workflow and team communications. The company announced today its MH-CURE secure smart phone application will be used by Torrance Memorial. It’s a system that will improve secure text, voice communication and integration with its medical records system and nurse call system. This will allow staff to communicate seamlessly from building to building.

More than 2,700 clinical staff members across all departments, particularly its rapid-response teams will be using this. The hospital plans to replace all old phones and pagers. MH-CURE will also allow for a real-time clinical team directory that connects all members of a patient’s care team, enabling patient-specific workflows while enhancing caregiver collaboration.
