Now is a great time to check out the Madrona Marsh Preserve and Nature Center as it’s transforming with the warmer weather.

The Preserve is currently experiencing the dry-down period. Officials say during this time, the preserve loses about a quarter-inch of water a day. The upland grasses are browning and the wetland areas are getting even greener as the plants spring forth along the receding waterline. You may even see some new-born ducklings out and about.

The Preserve, located at 3201 PLaza Del Amo, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. It is closed on Monday’s.
