The South Bay LGBT Center is remembering and honoring victims of the Orlando, Florida tragedy.

Throughout this month, you can stop by the center to view a special art exhibit called “Orlando 49: Farlitos” by James Nocito. The artist began drawing portraits in his sketchbook of those whose lives were taken on June 12th of last year. It was a way of him to cope with the sadness he was experiencing. He transferred those sketches on little lanterns made from paper bags. His hope is to keep awareness alive of the Orlando 49 and provide a space for people to reflect, express grief and pay respect.
