Torrance City Council will adjourn tonight’s meeting in memory of Vic Edelbrock Jr.

Vic was a driving force in the automotive aftermarket industry. He took over the Edelbrock business at 26 years old after his father’s passing in 1962.

He brought the company to Torrance in 1987 and served as President and CEO until 2010.

To encourage new generations in the automotive industry, The Edelbrock Family Foundation was created to help produce education and training for young people who are automotive enthusiasts.

He passed away on June 9, 2017. He was 80 years old.

The family is having a private celebration of Vic’s life. Donations in lieu of flowers are asked to be made in Vic’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or American Lung Association.
