The wait will soon be over for the opening of Ganahl Lumber in Torrance next month.

Located at 2600 Del Amo Boulevard between Crenshaw Boulevard and Maple Avenue, the highly anticipated business is looking to have its soft opening on Aug. 3.

Ganahl Lumber is building its facility on an 18-acre former retail lumberyard site. The new business will feature a supply store, lumber storage and lumber milling sheds.

The Anaheim-based company says they plan to bring 160 workers to the area.

A grand opening, in conjunction with the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce, is planned for sometime after the Aug. 3 soft opening.
