Australian-based developer and manufacturer Tritium, known for their electric car chargers, will now call the South Bay home.

On Tuesday, the company opened their first U.S.-based manufacturing office in Torrance.

Veefil-RT, a fast electric vehicle charger, is one of the products that will be manufactured at the site. Veefil-RT features the world’s smallest footprint and is said to be easy to own and operate.

The company plans to build 20 units a month, bringing Torrance closer to its goal of having an electric vehicle charger for every mile of the city.
