Your morning commute might be slower than usual this week as public works crew perform curb, gutter, sidewalk and ramp repairs.
While city staff is gearing up for the Slurry seal project, various locations across the city will be facing traffic delays from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Carson street eastbound lanes and Madrona Avenue northbound and southbound lanes were temporarily closed down to two lanes Tuesday. The adjacent right turn lanes will be closed for 24 hours through Wednesday. Madison street southbound lanes were temporarily closed down to one lane as well.
This year the city plans to slurry seal nearly 2.5 million square feet of residential streets, 1 million square feet of arterial streets and six parking facilities.
The pouring of the slurry seal will tentatively begin in October.
