Locally and across the country, doctors have reported a huge increase of patients with the flu.
Since October, 27 people younger than 65 have died from the flu. Some signs and symptoms of the flu are fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headaches and fatigue.
Here are few ways you can prevent the flu:
- Clean your hands often. Washing your hands will help protect you from germs.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth, preparing food or eating with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with others.
- If you’re sick, stay at home.
