17-year old Chloe Kim was brought to tears as she was crowned with the gold medal in the women’s half-pipe at the Winter Olympics in South Korea.

On her third and final run, Kim received a near-perfect score of 98.25 out of 100. This makes her the youngest medalist ever in the half-pipe. Winning multiple gold medals isn’t new for Kim, as she has won three X games’ gold medals.

Kim began snowboarding when she was 4 years old. The Team USA website reports she was born in Long Beach, California and her hometown is Torrance.
