An old movie will be back on the big screen to celebrate a big name actor.

Tom Hanks just turned 62 yesterday and AMC Theatres is rolling out the 1980s film “BIG” on the big screen in Hanks’ honor. The movie will be playing Sunday, July 15th and Wednesday, July 18th with show times at 2 and 7 p.m. The showings also mark the movie’s 30th anniversary.

In the film, Josh Baskin, played by Tom Hanks, is a 12-year-old boy who is transformed into a 35-year-old man by a carnival wishing machine. Participating theaters includes AMC Theatres in Torrance at the Del Amo Fashion Center.

Across the country, more than 700 theaters will be showing the film.
