President Donald Trump ordered flags to fly at half-staff in honor of Senator John McCain.

Senator McCain died on Saturday in his home in Arizona at the age of 81. He suffered from a malignant brain tumor which he recently stopped receiving treatment for. McCain was a proud naval aviator who was a prisoner of war in Vietnam.

There will be a memorial service in Arizona tomorrow and then his body will lie in state at the United States Capitol in Washington D.C. this Friday. The public will be able to pay their respects.

In a proclamation, President Trump says the flag of the United States should be flown at half-staff at the White house and all public grounds.
