An annual tradition bringing Christmas cheer to neighborhoods across the City of Torrance returns.
This month, keep an eye out because you will be able to spot Santa sleighing by your house. Tonight is the second night St. Nick will make his way to town on his sleigh. At 5:00 p.m., he will be moving through Carson St. to Sepulveda Blvd. and then Crenshaw Blvd. to Western Ave.
The Santa Float started in 1969 by the Torrance Police Officers Association. It has always been sponsored by the association whose members work tirelessly to maintain the Santa’s sleigh and each year they bring holiday joy by passing out 30,000 candy canes. The Torrance Police Officers’ Association is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the Torrance Police Department.
The float will be making visits through December 23rd. You can see the schedule at TorrancePOA.com.
