The City of Torrance is turning to technology to make their facility operations stronger.
Torrance signed a two-year agreement with SmartCSM, a leader in cloud-based building and facilities software that launched in 2018. The company will use its digital mapping and data management solutions to help the City. The platform is being called the “Google Maps” of accessing and viewing a building’s electrical and mechanical infrastructure. It will enhance productivity by reducing the risk and cost of maintaining paper records.
This also enables building owners and facility managers to reduce operational waste and increase accountability by bringing its electrical infrastructure onto a visual and interactive database or to digital. Officials will be able to view this on a smart device or computer anywhere they have access.
The South Bay Company has also been chosen by five other cities.
