A popular attraction at a local park is closed for renovations.
Today, crews began resurfacing Wilson Park’s roller rink. While work takes place, it will be shut down for 5 to 7 days. They have plans to sand the surface, place a sealer primer coat, paint the surface, install lines for roller hockey and roller derby and finish with a top sealer coat. The rink was built in 1994.
Wilson Park is 44 acres and hosts sand volleyball courts, an indoor sports center, an outdoor amphitheater, tennis courts, batting cages and even a splash pad to name a few. They hope to have work completed by Labor Day weekend.
